Location: Cambodian Living Arts (CLA)

Blending Creativity and Tradition
On February 1, 2025, the Connected Canopy, a collaborative project by Creative Generation (CG) and Cambodian Living Arts (CLA), was officially launched. This site-specific installation brought together art, architecture, and community engagement, creating a welcoming and inclusive space for gatherings, events, and artistic expression. Inspired by CLA’s longstanding mission to support artists and promote both traditional and contemporary art, the Connected Canopy balanced heritage with modern functionality, offering a platform for creative exchange while honoring Cambodia’s rich artistic traditions.

A Testament to Collaboration
The project embodied a spirit of collaboration. Designed by the team of Som Vanserey Rothnak, Mol Nyta, Cheng Neahav, and Noy Vannak, under the guidance of mentors and experts, the Connected Canopy was the result of collective dedication. Support from jurors, mentors, volunteers, and the hardworking teams at CG and CLA transformed this idea into a meaningful space that fosters dialogue and connection within the arts community. After months of development—from a design competition to final construction—the project stood as a testament to the power of creative collaboration.

Highlights of the Launch Event

An Innovative Platform for the Arts

This innovative space connects diverse communities and serves as a symbol of the intersection of art, architecture, and culture, injecting energy and possibilities into the future of Cambodia’s creative landscape.
