A Sunset Story Photography Exhibition Featuring Diverse Perspectives on Life's Moments in Phnom Penh.
The Phnom Penh Photography Collective hosted a unique photography exhibition at Sundown Social Club, located next to the Russian Market, on April 5th, starting at 5 PM, with the theme "Sunset in Phnom Penh." The exhibition featured 31 photos created by 21 photographers from both local and diverse national backgrounds, vividly capturing the enchanting beauty of twilight in Phnom Penh and offering different perspectives that showcased a rich variety of life situations and emotions.
Another highlight of this exhibition was the variety of craft sake, soju, and beer brought by Fungi Art Co., Ltd., allowing attendees to savor delightful beverages while enjoying the art. Additionally, the captivating atmosphere of the Sundown Social Club, paired with the stunning view of the Russian Market and lively music, provided an engaging, down-to-earth visual and auditory experience that left visitors enchanted.
Curator Shunsuke Miyatake noted that this event held special significance. Over the past year, due to health issues, he was unable to host any exhibitions to foster connections among people from diverse backgrounds. Therefore, this photography exhibition was not just an artistic display but also an opportunity for reunion.
The exhibition ran until April 28th, and the Phnom Penh Photography Collective was always open to collaboration with interested creatives. Those with interesting and meaningful ideas were encouraged to reach out. It was a perfect opportunity to explore the charm of art.
